Lauren Eppinger is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of California. She earned her BA from the University of Colorado and her Masters in Social Work from the University of Denver. Lauren quickly learned she enjoyed working with older adults and began her post-graduate career over 10 years ago at Alzheimer’s Services of the East Bay (ASEB) Adult Day Health Care in Berkeley, where she served as a Social Worker and Program Director. Lauren’s other roles have included Care Manager for Santa Cruz County’s Multipurpose Senior Services Program (MSSP), Medical Social Worker at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center, and private Geriatric Care Manager in Contra Costa and Alameda Counties. Lauren offers her clients a solid understanding of how to best serve older adults within a variety of settings, including home, assisted living facilities, hospitals and nursing homes. Lauren is proud to be part of the Social Work profession whose core values include social justice, integrity, personal dignity and the value of the individual.
Sheri Hartman, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of California since 1995, has been in practice as a Geriatric Social Worker, Consultant, Counselor and Geriatric Care Manager for nearly 20 years. Having obtained a BA in Women’s Studies from San Francisco State University, Sheri received a Master of Social Work from California State University, Fresno, with an emphasis on clinical practice. She has worked with older adults and families in such varied organizations as the Institute on Aging Alzheimer's Day Center and PACE program in San Francisco, Jewish Family and Children’s Services of the East Bay, private care management companies, as well as home health and hospice agencies. Sheri has 20 years experience as a private Geriatric Care Manager. She is a clinically trained support group facilitator. Sheri possesses a unique combination of advanced clinical training and experience, blended with compassion and dedication to the importance of the human relationship.
Carolyn Lonner discovered her passion for the field of Gerontology in 1991 as a volunteer with the Center for Elderly Suicide Prevention in San Francisco. Carolyn received her BA From UC Berkeley and returned to UC Berkeley to earn her Masters in Social Welfare, with a Gerontology emphasis. She was the first social worker hired at Alzheimer’s Services of the East Bay’s (ASEB) and later assumed the role of Program Director at the expanded ASEB Adult Day Health Care site in Berkeley. She became a California Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in 1999. After nine years with ASEB she became a private Geriatric Care Manager and worked for 11 years providing support for older clients and their families in Alameda County. She has maintained a professional relationship with ASEB over the years as a social worker consultant and supervisor. Carolyn is currently facilitating an Alzheimer’s Association support group for persons in the early stages of dementia. Carolyn is dedicated to helping families and individuals plan for, and access, their long-term care in ways that optimize their mental, physical and emotional well-being
